Remodelling & Refurbishment of Sport Centre Changing Facilities and Reception Area
Located at Bispham Campus the sport centre reception and changing facilities required significant updating and redesign. Working with plans and specification provided by consultants (a complete refurbishment package including M&E), FJBS Ltd worked closely with the Estates Depart at Blackpool and the Fylde College to deliver the much-needed upgrade to the existing facilities.
Having worked on several projects for Blackpool and the Fylde College, FJBS Ltd were experienced in the delivery of high-quality services to a defined deadline within the college environment. Our experience came to the forefront on this project due the sensitive nature the area we were working which posed potential safeguarding issues alongside the standard health and safety issues associated with a project of this nature. A further aspect was ensuring the sports department could still deliver their curriculum.
To mitigate the issues identified above we create a compound (located away from areas where we were working) which acted as a safe area for students and staff to access an egress the sports centre with minimal contact with our operatives. Within this compound we provided portable shower and changing room facilities which were rotated between male, female and staff changing facilities to ensure minimal disruption to the day-to-day operations of the site.
